About Veronica

I’ve labored over writing this “about me” page for many hours, days and weeks. I’ve pondered over what to include, who to write this for and what my goals are… I’ve started, edited, completed, deleted and started anew, many times.

I have a passion for creating meals with unique flavors, and I want to share love that with everyone.

So, welcome to Veronica Cultivating Life.IMG_0475

I hope to share recipes, that you’ll love, as much as we do.

I am a wife, an employee, an oldest sister, daughter, sister-in-law, Aunt and a Bonus Mom to 2 wonderful adult children. Not only do we have kids, we are stewards to our 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs and we feed feral cats, too. I take all of my roles seriously, from providing unconditional love and support daily, to feeding the masses at holidays, each role helps me grow and allows me to share all those things that feed my soul. As with anything in life, there have been great times, arguments, serious talks, crying and sleepless nights, but watching our kids grow is the single most rewarding thing I have done with my life.

My 3 younger sisters, their significant others and children, and the many friends in my life, have provided encouragement, their taste buds and time for the many recipe trials. Without them, I couldn’t make this passion a reality.

My mother, has been the largest inspiration, greatest advocate and teacher, instilling me with the initial love of food, basic cooking skills and innovative use of ingredients. As I sit here writing this, I’m filled with nostalgia over her lasagna and my grandmother’s spice cake, consuming them at birthdays, or helping to make them as I got older. Now, as my IMG_0044mother is getting older, I get to help her more in the kitchen, evolving her recipes and methods into my own and sharing new things with her. Thank you, Mom!

I’ve learned that life is forever moving forward… growing exponentially… smile… slow down and enjoy the little things…

Thank you for joining me on this journey,

Veronica G.
